No, I'm not talking about love. I'm talking about little kid fingers & cake. Below is the cake for my baptism (circa 1982) and the two hooligans caught in the act are my older sister and cousin. You see, little kid fingers and cake are like magnets. Where there is a cake within reach, you will most certainly find a little kid reaching for it (and truth is, adults can be just as bad!). A couple years ago I made this cake for a family holiday party. You'd think I would know better, but I set it down to take a photo and turned my back for 30 seconds ... and bam! Kid fingers in my cake. So here is the lesson. ALWAYS TAKE YOUR PHOTOS BEFORE THE KIDS ARRIVE! You're never going to stop kid fingers from finding cake (again, they are magnets). But you can take photos of the cake before the two collide. You're welcome.
